Answer:

Length = 0.140km = 140m Breadth = 80m Perimeter = 2(l + b) = 2(140 + 80) = 440m ... The length of rectangular park is 0.140 km and its breadth is 80 m. ... The length of a rectangular field is thrice its breadth. ... Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden, whose length is 4 m more than its width, is 36 m.

Answer:length =100m, breadth = 30m

Step-by-step explanation: perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b).............eqn. 1

l= length, b=breadth

l = 10 + 3b............eqn. 2

Sub eqn. 2 in 1

P = 2[(10 + 3b) + b]

P = 2[10 + 3b + b]

P = 2(10 + 4b)

P = 20 + 8b = 260 ( note perimeter was given as 260 in the question)

=> 8b = 260 - 20

8b = 240

b = 30m

Sub. value of b in eqn. 2

l = 10 + 3(30)

l = 10 + 90

l = 100m

Length = 100m, breadth = 30m
