Given perimeter = 22
i.e 2(l+b)=22...... (1) where lies is length and B is width

Also l=b+5...(2)

So, from equation ( 1)and (2)
2(5+b+b)=22
2b+5=11
2b=6
b=3
So length =8 & width =3cm

Answer:

Length = 8 and Width = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = 22cm

Let the Width be X

So,

Length = 5+X

So, Perimeter = 2(l+b)

=2(5+x+x)

= 2(5+2x)

= 10+4x

SO WE GOT THE EQUATION FOR PERIMETER AND VALUE IS ALREADY GIVEN,

Hence By Equating the Value

10+4x=22

4x=22-10

4x=12

x=12/4

x=3

So the width is 3 and Length is

L=5+x

L=5+3

L=8
