perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)=56
2(16+b)=56
32+2b=56
2b=56-32
2b=24
b=24/2
b= 12cm
breadth of a rectangle is 12 cm

answer is 12. because the formula is p= 2(l+b).
so, perimeter is 56= 2(16 +b)
56=32 × 2 b
56_32= 2b
24=2b
24/2=b
12=b
