Given

Perimeter of the sheet = 100 cm

length of the sheet (L) = 35 cm

To find

  • breadth of the sheet (B)
  • Area of the sheet

Solution

We know that

perimeter of rectangle = 2 (L + B)

=> 100 = 2(35 + B)

=> 100 = 70 + 2B

=> 2B = 30

=> B = 30/2

=> B = 15

∴ Breadth (B) of the sheet = 15 cm

Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area = 35 cm × 15 cm

=> Area = 525 cm²

Area of the sheet = 525 cm²

HEY DUDE IT'S YOUR ANSWER

perimeter = 2(l + b) \\ let \: breadth = x \\ 100 = 2(35 + x) \\ 50 = 35 + x \\ 50 - 35 = x \\ 15 = x   \\ \\ length =35cm \\ breadth = 15cm \\  \\ area = l \times b \\ area = 35 \times 15 \\ area = 525cm {}^{2}
