Answer:

breadth = 15 cm

area = 525 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of a rectangle has the formula : 2 ( L + B )

Perimeter = 2 ( L + B )

   100 cm  = 2 ( 35 + B )

   100 cm  = 70 + 2B

    100 - 70 = 2B

         30     = 2B

         15      = B

breadth = 15 cm

The formula for a rectangle's area is ( L x B )

area of the rectangle = L x B

                                   = 35 x 15

                                   = 525 cm²

Hope this helped.

\large{\mathcal{\underline{\red{Given,}}}}

  • \bf{Perimeter\:of\:the\:rectangular\:sheet\:is\:100\:cm.}
  • \bf{Length\:of\:the\:rectangular\:sheet\:is\:35\:cm.}

\large{\mathcal{\underline{\red{We\:know\:that,}}}}

  • \bf{Perimeter\:of\:a\:rectangle\:is= 2(Length+Breadth)}
  • \bf{Area\:of\:a\:rectangle =Length×Breadth}

So, perimeter of the given rectangular sheet,

\large{\sf{100=2(35+Breadth)}}

\large{\sf{→35+Breadth=\frac{100}{2}}}

\large{\sf{→35+Breadth=50}}

\large{\sf{→Breadth=50-35}}

\large{\sf{→Breadth=15}}

So,Area of the given rectangular sheet,

\large{\sf{35×25}}

\large{\sf{=525\:\:cm^2}}
