Perimeter of a rectangle, P=2(l+b)=100cm

Here. l= length=35cm

b= breadth

So, 100=2(35+b)⇒b+35=50

b=50−35=15cm

So, Area of rectangle, A=l∗b=35∗15=525cm2

Answer:

Given:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪︎Perimeter of rectangular sheet = 100cm

▪︎Length of rectangular sheet = 35cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To Find:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪︎Breadth of rectangular sheet

▪︎Area of rectangular sheet

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let the breadth of rectangular sheet be x cm

According to given conditions,

Perimeter of rectangular sheet = 100cm

= 2(length + breadth) = 100cm

= 2(35 + b) = 100cm

= 35 + b = 100 ÷ 2

= b = 50 - 35

= b= 15

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hence, breadth of rectangular sheet = 15cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Area of sheet = length × breadth

= 35 × 15

= 525cm²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Formula to be remembered:

▪︎Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

▪︎Area of rectangle = length × breadth

▪︎Perimeter of square = 4 × Side

▪︎Area of square = Side²

▪︎Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides

▪︎Area of triangle = ½ × base × height
