Answer:

Breadth = 30 cm

Area = 1500 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = 50 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 160 cm

⇒ 2 ( l + b ) = 160

⇒ 2 ( 50 + b ) = 160

⇒ 50 + b = 160 / 2

⇒ 50 + b = 80

⇒ b = 80 - 50

⇒ b = 30

Hence, the breadth of rectangle is 30 cm.

Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                             = 50 * 30

                             = 1500 cm²

Hence, the area of rectangle is 1500 cm².

Given-

perimeter =160cm

length=50cm

let

Breadth be x cm

perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

puting the values

160=2(50+x)

160÷2=50+x

80=50+x

x=80-50

x=30

Hence breadth is 30cm

Area of rectangle=length ×breadth

=50×30

1500 square cm
