Answer:

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

200cm = 2(70cm+b)

200cm = 140cm + 2b

200-140 = 2b

60cm = 2b

b = 60/2

b = 30cm

Hence, breadth is 30cm

 \Large{\bf{\green{\mathfrak{\dag{\underline{\underline{Given:-}}}}}}}

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 200 cm.

  • Length of the rectangle = 70 cm.

 \Large{\bf{\orange{\mathfrak{\dag{\underline{\underline{To \: Find:-}}}}}}}

  • Breadth of the rectangle

  • Area of the rectangle

\Large{\bf{\red{\mathfrak{\dag{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}}}}

First,

  • Let the breadth of the rectangle be b.

Now,

Given,

  • Length of the rectangle = 70 cm.

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 200 cm.

We know that,

 \boxed{\pink{\textsf{Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b) units}}}

Substituting the values,

  • 2(70 + b) = 200

  • 70 + b =  \sf \dfrac{200}{2}

  • 70 + b =  \sf \cancel{\dfrac{200}{2}}

  • 70 + b = 100

  • b = 100 - 70

  • b = 30 cm.

Now,

We know that,

 \boxed{\pink{\sf Area\: of \:rectangle\: =\: lb \:units^2}}

  • Here,

  • l = 70 cm

  • b = 30 cm

Substituting the values,

  • 70 * 30

  • 2,100 cm.

Therefore,

  •  \boxed{\purple{\textsf{Breadth of the rectangle = 30 cm.}}}

  •  \boxed{\blue{\sf Area\: of\: the\: rectangle\: = \:2,100 \:cm^2}}

 \Large{\bf{\green{\mathfrak{\dag{\underline{\underline{Formulas \: used:-}}}}}}}

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b) units.

  • where,

  • l is length of rectangle

  • b is breadth of rectangle

Area of rectangle = lb units²

  • where,

  • l is length of rectangle

  • b is breadth of rectangle
