Correct Question :-

The perimeter of a rectangular sheet is 70 cm. If its breadth is 15 cm, Find its area.

Answer :-

  • The area of rectangle is 300cm²

Solution :-

Given that,

  • The perimeter of Rectangular sheet = 70cm
  • Breadth of the sheet = 15cm

First we need to find out the length of rectangle, and we can find it by applying the formula of perimeter of rectangle,

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth ),

=> 2 ( Length + 15 ) = 70

=> Length + 15 = 70/2

=> Length + 15 = 35

=> Length = 35 - 15

=> Length = 20

The length of rectangle is 20cm.

According the question,

The area of rectangle is,

As we know that,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth,

Therefore,

=> Area = 20cm × 15cm

=> Area = 300cm²

  • The area of rectangle is 300cm².
