Answer:

Length=52m Breadth=25m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the breadth

Then length=2x + 2

Now

Perimeter=2(x+2x+2)=2(3x+2)

But given, perimeter=154 m

So, 2(3x+2)=154

Or 3x+2=77

Or 3x=75

Or x=25m

So breadth=25 m

And length=2*25+2=52m

Answer:

The perimeter of a rectangular swimming pool is 154 m. it's length is 2m more than twice it's breadth. Find the length and breadth of the pool.

The length of this pool is 52 metres and the breadth of the swimming pool is 25 metres.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for calculating the perimeter of a rectangular object is 2 ( length + width) ⇒ 2( L + W )

The perimeter of this rectangular pool is 154 meters.

Let the breadth of the rectangular pool be x metres.

If the breadth of the rectangular pool is x metres.

The length of the rectangular pool = (2x + 2) metres

Length, L = (2x+2) , Breadth, W = x , Perimeter, P = 154

Let us feed these to values into the formula of calculating the perimeter and find x

                     P = 2( L + W)

                     ∴ 154  = 2 [ (2x+2) + x]

                         154 = 2(2x+2) +2x

                          154 = 4x + 4 + 2x

                          154 = 6x + 4

                            6x = 154 - 4

                             6x = 150

                              x = 150 / 6

                              x =  25 metres

Therefore the bread x = 25 metres

                 and the length 2x+2 = (2×25) + 2m = 52 metres

Therefore the length is 52 metres and the breadth of the swimming pool is 25 metres.
