Hey!!!

Good Afternoon

_________

let the length and breadth of the pool be x and y respectively (in metres)

Then ATQ,

=> x - 5 = 2y
=> x = 2y + 5 ----(1)

Perimeter = 154 m

Then

=> 2(x + y) = 154

=> x + y = 77

Using (1) in above equation

=> 2y + 5 + y = 77

=> 3y = 72

=> y = 24m

Thus x = 48 + 5

=> x = 53 m

Thus the length is 53m and breadth is 24 m

Hope this helps ✌️

Hey mate.......^_^

Here's ur ans. ⬇

Let the breadth of the pool = b
and length = l

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b).... 1st equation

According to question ,

l = 2b + 5

Substituting the value of l in 1st equation

154 = 2(2b + 5 + b )

7 7 = 3b + 5

72 = 3b

b = 24 m

Therefore breadth of the pool = 24m
