Answer:

perimeter of the pool = 154m

if breadth = x

length= 2x + 2

perimeter= 2l+2b

=2(2x+2 )+ 2x

= 4x+4 + 2x

= 6x + 4

=154

6x=154 - 4

= 150

x = 150/6

=25

breadth=25 m

I hope it will help you....

Given :

  • Perimeter = 154m

____________________________

To Find :

  • Length and the breadth

____________________________

Solution :

Let x be the measure of the breadth

According to the question :

→ Length = 2x + 2

2(length + breadth) = Perimeter of the rectangle

⇒ 2 {(2x+2) + x} = 154m

⇒ 2(2x + 2 + x) = 154m

⇒ 2(3x + 2) = 154m

⇒ 6x + 4 = 154m

⇒ 6x = 154m - 4

⇒ x = 150/6

⇒ x = 25m

Finding out length and breadth :

→ L = 2x+2 = 52

→ B = x → 25

Length of rectangle is 52 m and breadth is 25 m
