Let the breadth be 'x'
Length = 4 + 2x
Now perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)
2(l + b) = 1882 ( 4 + 2x + x) = 1882 ( 4 + 3x) = 1884 + 3x = 943x = 90x = 30 m
Required breadth = 30 mLength = 4 + 2 x 30 = 64 m
Hope This Helps You!

Given :

Perimeter of a rectangular swimming pool = 188m

Length is 4m more than twice it's breadth

To Find :

Length and Breadth of the swimming pool

Solution :

Let the length of the pool = L

,and the breadth of the pool = B

According to question :

Its length is 4 m more than twice its breadth

L = 2B + 4

Now, for a rectangle, the perimeter, P, is equal to :

P = 2L + 2B

Substituting value of L in P we get :

P = 2(2B+4) + 2B

P = 6B + 8

P = 188m

188 = 6B + 8

6B = 180

B = 30m

L = 2B + 4

L = 64m

Thus its length is 64m and its breadth is 30m.
