2(l + b)  = 154

l + b = 77

l = 2b + 2

2b + 2 + b = 77

3b = 75

b = 25

breadth = 25m

length = 2 + 2b = 52m

Solution -

Let's assume the breadth as x meters

So, the length as 2x + 2 meters

According to Question,

Perimeter of rectangular pool = 154m

2 (length + breadth) = 154 m

2(2x + 2 + x) = 154.    [By transposition]

⇒ 3x + 2 = 154 / 2

⇒ 3x + 2 = 77            [By transposition]

⇒ 3x = 77 - 2

⇒ 3x = 75

⇒ x = 75 / 3               [By transposition]

⇒ x = 25

Required Measurements -

Breadth = x = 25 m

Length = 2x + 2 = 2(25) + 2 = 50 + 2

= 52m

Hence, the length is 52 meters and breadth is 25 meters
