Answer:

\red\bigstar Cost of painting the wall = ₹300

SOLUTION

Perimeter of the rectangular wall = 16m.

Breadth(b) = 3m.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b) , Where l is length and b is the breadth of the rectangle.

\implies 2(l+3) = 16

\implies 2l + 6 = 16

\implies 2l = 16 - 6

\implies 2l = 10

\implies \sf l = \dfrac{10}{2}

∴ Length of the rectangular wall is 5m.

Cost of Painting The Wall

✳ Cost of painting the wall = Rate of painting × Area of the wall

Area of the Wall

Area of rectangle = l × b ,Where l is length and b is the breadth of the rectangle.

Here,

l = 5m.

b = 3m.

\implies Area of the wall = 5 × 3

∴ Area of the rectangular wall is 15m².

✳ Cost of painting the wall = Rate of painting × Area of the wall

Here,

Rate of painting = ₹ 20/m²

Area of the wall = 15m²

\implies Cost of painting the wall = 20 × 15

\implies Cost of painting the wall = ₹300
