Answer:

Given,

Side of square = 15cm

Length of rectangle = 17cm

Breadth = ?

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

So,

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

= 4 × 15

= 60cm²

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

60 = 2(17 +b)

60 = 34+2b

60 - 34 = 2b

26 = 2b

26 /2 = b

13 = b

Therefore breadth is 13 cm.

Answer:

13 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of square= 4×s= 4×15=60cm

now the perimeter of rectangle is same as perimeter of square.

So ,

17x2=34 (As, there are 2 sides of length for rectangle )

60-34=26

Now divide 26 by 2 ( because there are 2 breadths for a rectangle)

so answer is 13 cm
