Given,

The perimeter of a triangle is 8cm the length of its perpendicular sides is 4\frac{1}{2}.

Formula,

Perimeter of right angle triangle = a+b+c

Here, a=b= 4\frac{1}{2}

According to the question,

a+b+c=18

\frac{9}{2}+\frac{9}{2}+c=18

9+c=18\\c=9

Therefore, the hypotenuse of the right angle triangle is 9cm.

Given,

The perimeter of the right triangle =18cm

The length of the sides of triangle is 4\frac{1}{2} =\frac{9}{2}

Formula for perimeter of right triangle

a+b+c

From the question the two sides are equal.

So, we can write

P=2a+b

18=2(\frac{9}{2} )+c

18=9+c

c=18-9

c=9cm

Therefore, the length of other side(hypotenuse) is 9cm
