The perimeter of a Right triangle is 30 cm .its hypotunse is 13 cm and base is 5 find area

Solution :

In right angled triangle ,

base ( b ) = 5 cm ,

Hypotenuse ( c ) = 13 cm

Let the height = h cm

Perimeter = 30 cm [ given]

b + c + h = 30

=> 5 + 13 + h = 30

=> 18 + h = 30

=> h = 30 - 18

=> h = 12 cm

Therefore ,

Area of the triangle = ( base × height )/2

= ( 5 × 12 )/2

= 5 × 6

= 30 cm²
