The perimeter of a right triangle is 56 cm and the difference between the length of the sides
containing the right angle is 17 cm. Find the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle

Answer:

Perimeter of triangle = 56 cm

Semi perimeter = 56/2 = 28 cm.

Area of triangle = 84 cm²

R × S = 84

R = 84/28

R = 3 cm.

In a right angled triangle ,

R = Semi perimeter - Hypotenuse

3 = 28 - Hypotenuse

Hypotenuse = 28 - 3

Hypotenuse = 25 cm.
