Answer:

2¹/₂

Step-by-step explanation:

Turn it to an equation =

3³/₅ + 2³/₄ + x = 8¹⁷/₂₀                           Find the LCM of the denominators = 20

20 ÷ 5 * 3 = 12                              For the first fraction = 3¹²/₂₀

20 ÷ 4 * 3 = 15                              For the second fraction = 2¹⁵/₂₀

20 ÷ 20 * 17 = 17                           For the third fraction =  8¹⁷/₂₀

3¹²/₂₀ + 2¹⁵/₂₀ + x = 8¹⁷/₂₀

3 + 2 + ¹²/₂₀ + ¹⁵/₂₀ = 5²⁷/₂₀ = 6⁷/₂₀

6⁷/₂₀ + x = 8¹⁷/₂₀

x = 8¹⁷/₂₀ - 6⁷/₂₀ = 2¹⁰/₂₀ = 2¹/₂

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of triangle = Sum of sides

177/20 = 18/5 + 11/8 + x

x = 31/8 cm

Hope it helps you a lot.
