the perimeter of a school volleyball court is 177ft and the length is twice the width. what are the dimensions of the volleyball court?​

Let length and width be l and b respectively. Then l=2b   ⟶(1)

Perimeter of court =177ft.

⇒2(l+b)=177

⇒2(2b+b)=177

⇒6b=177

⇒b=6177=29.50ft

∴l=2×29.50=59 ft.

∴ Length of court =59ft and width =29.50ft.
