Given:

the perimeter of a sector of the circle of radius 7cm is 44cm

To Find:

What is the area of the sector?

Solution:

for finding the area of the sector we can use different formulas but as we observe the given sum it is observed that to best use the formula we can go for the formula where there is arc length and radius

A=\frac{1}{2}*l*r

where,

          l= arc length

          r= Radius

Now, From the 1st data arc length obtained sector will be as follows

P=l+2r\\44=l+7*2\\l=30cm

So now we have l=30 cm going further to put all the obtained values in the area of the obtained sector using the area formula,

A=\frac{1}{2}*l*r\\=\frac{1}{2} *30*7\\=105cm^2

Hence, the area of the obtained sector is 105sq.cm.
