The perimeter of a semicircle is (pi)R+2R where R is the radius of the semicircle. Here, R[(pi) + 2] = 36, or

R = 36/[(pi) + 2]

= 7 cm.

Area of semicircle = [(pi)R^2]/2 =[22*7^2/7]/2= 11*7 = 77 sq cm.

Perimeter of semi- circular path
= pi * R +2R
=22/7 *R +2R
i .e. 36 = 22/7 R +2R = 36/7 R
R = 36*7/36 = 7 m.
Now,
Area of semi-circular path =( pi*R*R )/2= (22/7 *7*7)/2 =154/2 = 77m^2.
