The perimeter of a square ABCD is 64 cm having its diagonal AC and BD Find (AC) ^2 +(BD)^2.

Perimeter of square = 64 cm

Side of square = 64 / 4 = 16 cm

Diagonal = side × root2 = 16 root2

AC = 16 Root2

BD = 16 root2


AC^2 + BD^2 = 2× (16 root2) ^2

= 2 × 256 × 2

= 4 × 256

= 1024
