Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(12+10)
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(22)
Perimeter of Rectangle = 44cms

Perimeter is Square = 4 × side
44 = 4 × side
side = 44/4
side = 11cms

Area of Square = side × side
Square is Square = 11 × 11
Area is Square = 121cm²

Area of Rectangle = length × breadth
Area of Rectangle = 12 × 10
Area of Rectangle = 120cm²

Area of Square exceeds(is more than) Area of Rectangle by 1cm²

Percentage = (1/120) × 100 = 0.83%

Thus the Area of Square exceeds the Area of Rectangle by 0.83%
