Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of square field = 176 m

perimeter of square = 4s = 176

s = 176/4

s = 44 m

area of square field = s × s

= 44 × 44

= 1936 sq m

rate of laying grass = Rs. 5.50 per sq m

cost of laying grass for 1936 sq m

1936 × 5.50 = Rs. 10648

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\bf Given -  \begin{cases} &\sf{perimeter \: of \: square \: field \:  = 176 \: m} \\ &\sf{cost \: of \: laying \: grass \: is \: ₹ \: 5.50 \: per \:  {m}^{2} } \end{cases}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\bf  To \:  Find :-  \begin{cases} &\sf{area \: of \: square \: field}  \\ &\sf{total \: cost \: of \: laying \: grass} \end{cases}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

{\large{\bold{\rm{\underline{Using \; concept}}}}}

☆ First we have to find the side of square using formula of perimeter, then we find the area of square field. Then multiply the area by cost to find the total cost of laying the grass.

{\large{\bold{\rm{\underline{Using \; formula}}}}}

{\large{\bold{\rm{ \red{(1). \:  \: \underline{Perimeter_{(square)} = 4 \times side}}}}}}

{\large{\bold{\rm{ \red{(2). \: \underline{Area_{(square)} = \:  {(side)}^{2}  }}}}}}

Now, let's do it!!

\large\underline\purple{\bold{Solution :-  }}

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\bf \longrightarrow  Let :-  \begin{cases} &\sf{side \: of \: square \:  = x \: meter}  \end{cases}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

\longrightarrow \tt  \: Perimeter_{(square)} \:  = 176

\tt\implies \:4 \times x = 176

\tt\implies \:x = \dfrac{ \cancel{176}}{ \cancel4}  = 44 \: m

\tt\implies \:side \: of \: square \:  = 44 \: m

\longrightarrow \tt \: Now,  \: Area_{(square)} =  {x}^{2}

\tt\implies \:Area_{(square)} =  {44}^{2}

\tt\implies \:Area_{(square)} = 1936 \:  {m}^{2}

\longrightarrow \tt \: \: Cost \: of \: laying \: grass \:  = ₹ \: 5.50 \: per \:  {m}^{2}

\tt\implies \:Total \: Cost \:  = 1936 \times 5.50 = ₹ \: 10648
