The perimeter of the square is given to be 4x + 8

We will first find the side of the square

Perimeter = 4 × side

 4x + 8  = 4 × side

Side = ( 4x + 8 ) /4

       = x + 2

Now, the relation between diagonal and side of the square is

Diagonal = √2 × side

               = √2( x+2 )

Hence, the diagonal of the square will be √2( x + 2 )
