Let one side of square be x
Perimeter of square: 4×side
=4×x
= 4x
Area of square= (side)²
=x²
Given: area=perimeter
4x = {x}^{2} \\ = > \frac{x}{ {x}^{2} } = 4 \\ = > \frac{1}{x} = 4 \\ = > x = \frac{1}{4}

Hey mate...!!!

Here's your answer...

_____________________________________

Area of square=
side ^{2}
And perimeter=
4 \times side
So..since they are equal..

side ^{2}  = 4 \times side
So..
4 = side {}^{2}
Therefore..
side = 2
