perimeter of square = 4a = 48

4a = 48

a = 48 /4 = 12

a= 12m

Area of square = side² = a² = 12² = 144m²

flower of square = 18m²

Area of garden uncovered = 144 -18 = 126 m²

Answer:

126 sq.m

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of square garden = 48m

Side of garden = 48/4 m = 12m

Area of garden = 12 x 12 sq.m = 144 sq.m

Area of flower bed = 18 sq.m

Hence, area of garden without flower bed = (144-18) sq.m = 126 sq.m
