The perimeter of a square Is 12 cm and that of another square is 16 cm. Find the perimeter of a square whose area is equal to the sum of the area of given two square​

let the side of larger square be a and the other two be a₁ and a

perimeter of square=4 x side(formula)

∴ for 1st square

4a₁=12 cm

a₁=3 cm

a²₁=9 cm² (area of square= side²)

for 2nd square

4a₂=16 cm

a₂=4 cm

a²₂= 16 cm²

according to question,

a²=a₁²+a₂²

  =9 + 16 cm²

  =25 cm²

or, a = 5 cm

or, 4a= 20 cm
