the perimeter of a square is 16 cm.what is the length of its diagonal​

Perimeter = 16cm

Side = 16/4

        = 4cm

If you draw diagonal, you split the square into two right angle triangles.

The two sides of the triangle = 4cm

We have to find the hypotenuse (which is same as diagonal)

By Pythagoras theorem:

4^2 + 4^2 = x^2

16 + 16 = x^2

32 = x^2

√32 = x

4√2 = x, which is the diagonal
