Solution :-

Given ,

  • Perimeter of square = 28.2 m

We need to find ,

  • Area of square = ?

As we know that ,

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Method of solving :-

  • By substituting the value of perimeter of the given square & by simplifying it we can have the value of side . So , as we know that Area of square = Side² , by substituting the value of side we can have the area of square .

Simplification :-

Firstly finding the side :

→ Perimeter = 4 × side

→ 28.2 = 4 × side

[ °.° 4 transposed to RHS to LHS ]

→ 28.2 ÷ 4 = Side

→ Side = 7.05 m

Now , by substituting the value of side in area of square

⇒ Area = Side²

⇒ Area = ( 7.05 )²

Area of square = 49.7 50

Note :- This symbol ‘≈’ means approximate value of that number .

Hence , area of square = 49.7 approximately equal to 50 .

Answer:

perimeter \: of \: square = 4 \times side

PERIMETER IS GIVEN 28.2 M

28.2 =4×side

side = 28.2 \div 4 = 7.05

hence

area \: of \: square \:  = side  {}^{2}

=7.05×7.05

=49.7025
