The perimeter of a square is 36 cm. Find the length of its diagonal.​

perimeter of square = 36cm

4×side=36cm

side=9cm

diagonal of square=side√2

=9√2cm

Explanation-:

Let s be the length of aside of a square .

Given ,

Perimeter of a square-:36 cm = 4s

= 4s = 36 cm

= s = 36/4

= s= 9

To find ,

As we know that ,

Diagonal of a square (d) -: √2s

∴d= √2 x 9

= d = 9 √2

= 12.73

12.73 cm is a length of diagonal of a

square.
