The perimeter of a square is 4*(length of its side). The perimeter of a square is 18cm more than the length of its side, find the length and the perimeter

Answer:

Let the length of the square be x.

then A/q

perimeter will be (18 + x) cm (1)

Now, by formula of perimeter of square =4*(length of its side)

= perimeter is 4 x X=4x (2)

But from (1),we have perimeter = 18 + x

So, 18 + x = 4x

= 18 = 4x-x

=18 = 3x

=> 3x = 18

=>x =18/3

=>x = 6 cm

Length of its side is 6 cm
