Side=10cm
Area=100cm²

Side or the square =40/4cm
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=10cm
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Area of a square=Side×side
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=10×10cm²
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=100cm²

⠀
- In first step the perimeter was divided by 4.
- The reason behind dividing it by 4 was that a square has 4 sides.
- When sides are given what do we do; we simply multiply the side 4 times.
- Hence to find the side we divided it by 4.
- on division it gave 10 as quotient hence,making it the side.
- Now to find the area we must know that side.
- So here we have the side i.e., 10cm
- To find area of a square we need to multiply the side to itself i.e., 10×10cm²
- On multiplication it gave 100cm² hence,making it the area of the square.
