Answer :-

The diagonal of the square is 10√2 cm.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Perimeter of square - 40 cm

To find :

  • The length of it's diagonal

Solution :

We know that,

Perimeter of square = 4a

[where a is an equal side of square]

=> 4a = 40 cm

=> a = 40/4 cm

=> a = 10 cm

.°. The side of the square is 10 cm.

Now,

Diagonal of square = a√2 unit

= 10√2 cm

Hence, the diagonal of the square is 10√2 cm.
