The perimeter of a square is 48cm. The area of a rectangle is 4 cm2 less than the area of the square. If the length of the rectangle is 14cm, then it's perimeter is

Let the every side of the square is x cm.
according to the question,
4x=48
or, x=48/4
ot, x = 12.
and let the width of the rectangle is pcm.
according to the question,
p×14=4
or, p= 14/4
or, p=7/2
or, p=3.5
the area of the square is x2
x2=3.5+2=5.5
