The perimeter of a square is 56m. The area of a rectangle is 8 sq.m. less than the area of the given square. lf the length of the rectangle is 16m, find its breadth​

Given

⏺️Perimeter of square = 56 cm

 =  > 4 \times side = 56m \\  =  > side =  \frac{56}{4}  = 14m

⏺️Area of this square =

 {(side)}^{2}   =  {(14)}^{2}  = 196 {m}^{2}

Now ,

According to the question,

Area of thr rectangle = 196m² - 8m²

 =  > l \:  \times  \: b  = 188 {m}^{2}  \\ b =  \frac{188}{l} m

We have ,

length of rectangle = 16m

So,

breadth \:  =  \frac{188}{16} m = 11.75m
