Given that perimeter of square is 56 m

So side of the square would be 56/4

=> Side = 14 m

So area of square = 14² = 196 m

Now area of rectangle is less than area of square by 8

=> Area of rectangle = 196 - 8 = 188 m²

Given length = 16
We know that, area = length × breadth

=> 16 × B = 188

=> B = 188/16

=> B = 11.75 m

Answer :- 11.75 m

HI THERE !!!!!!

HOPE THE ANSWER HELPS

Perimeter of square=56m

4(side)=56m

side=56/4

side=14m

Length of rectangle=16m

Area of square -area of rectangle=8m²

side²-l*b=8

(14)²-16b=8

196-16b=8

      -16b=8-196

       -16b=-188

        16b=188

           b=47/4

BREADTH OF THE RECTANGLE =47/4m or 11.75m
