therefore perimeter of the triangle=12*3=36
hence length of one side of the square =36/4=9
so the area of the square is 9*9=81 cm^2

the ans is 81cm^2
hope this helps...

\huge\mathfrak{Heya}

\tt{Perimeter \ of \ square \ = \ 4 × side}

\tt{Perimeter \ of \ equilateral \ triangle \ = \ 3×side}

\tt{Given \ side \ of \ triangle \ = \ 12 \ cm}

\tt{Perimeter \ of \ triangle \ = \ 3 × 12 \ cm}

\tt{A/q}

\tt{4 × side \ = \ 3 × 12}

\tt{side \ of \ square \ = \ 9 \ cm}

\tt{Area \ of \ square \ = \ (side)^2}

\tt{=> \ (9)^2 = 81 \ cm^2}

\tt{So, \ Area \ of \ Square \ = \ 81 \ cm^2}
