Perimeter of square = 4 × 8 = 32

Perimeter of square = 1/3 the perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle = 3 × Perimeter of square

= 3× 32 = 96

Perimeter of rectangle = 2× l + b

96 = 2×( l+ 2×square's side )

96 = 2 ( l + 16 )

96 = 2L + 32

2L = 96 - 32

2L = 64

L = 64/2

L = 32 cm

Here L refers to Length . So, length = 32 cm

Hope it helps
