Given :

  • The Perimeter of the Square Box = 1920 mm
  • Total perimeter of box = 960 cm

To find :

  • no of times to cover the box with tape if the total perimeter of the box is 960 cm

Solution :

  • We know that,

Perimeter of square = 4 × s

           1920 = 4s

             4s = 1920

              s = 1920/4

                = 480

Therefore, the side of the square is 480 mm.

  • Now, we have to convert mm to cm.

[1 cm = 10 mm]

480 mm = 480/10 mm

      = 48 cm

  • Now, we have to find the side of the box.

Perimeter of square = 4 × s

           960 = 4s

             4s = 960

              s = 960/4

                = 240

  • At last, we have to divide the side of the square box with the side of the box.

No of times tape covered = 165/48

                     = 3.4375

Rounding off = 3.5

Therefore, we have to cover it 3.5 times with tape.
