Let side of square be 'a' meter

perimeter  = 45 \frac{1}{6}  = 4 \times a

 \frac{45 \times 6 + 1} {6}  = 4 \times a

a =  \frac{271}{6 \times 4}

a =  \frac{264 + 7}{24}

a =  \frac{11 \times 24 + 7}{24}

a = 11 \frac{7}{24}
