Given -

The perimeter of a table top is 5 m. Length of the table is 1.5 m.

To find -

Breadth of the table.

Here the length and breadth are given so it is a rectangular table.

Perimeter of the table = 5 m

Length of the table = 1.5 m

We know that perimeter of rectangle is

$2(l + b)$

According to condition :

$2(l + b) = 5 \\ = 2(1.5 + b) = 5 \\ = 3 + 2b = 5 \\ = 2b = 5 - 3 \\ = 2b = 2 \\ = b = \frac{2}{2} \\ = b = 1 \: m$

Breadth of the table is 1 m.
