perimeter of a triangle = sum of the sides.

let the sides of triangle be 5x,12x,13x.

so,

5x + 12x + 13x = 300

30x=300

x=10 cm.

Answer:

3000 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

  • Perimeter of the triangle = 300 cm
  • Sides are i the ratio 5:12:13

To find:

  • sides of the triangle

Let the sides be 5x,12x and 13x

According to the question:

5x+12x+13x=300

30x=300

x=300/30

x=10

Measurement of first side = 5x = 5×10 = 50 cm

Measurement of second side = 12x = 12×10 = 120 cm

Measurement of third side = 13x = 13×10 = 130 cm

Semi perimeter = perimeter/2 = 300/2 = 150 cm

area = \sqrt{150(150-50)(150-120)(150-130)}

area = \sqrt{150(100)(30)(20)}

area = 3000 cm²

The area of the triagle is equal to 3000 cm²
