Correct Question :

The perimeter of a triangle is (x²y+10) units . One of the side is of length (y - 4) units and another sides is (3-2x²y)units . Find the length of the third side.

Given :

• One side's length = x²y - 4

• Another side's length = 3 - 2x²y

• Perimeter of the ∆ = x²y + 10

To Find :

• Length of the third side.

Solution :

Let the third side be a

We know that,

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

→ x²y + 10 = (x²y - 4) + (-2x²y + 3) + a

→ x²y + 10 = x²y - 4 - 2x²y + 3 + a

→ x²y + 2x²y - x²y + a = - 10 - 4 + 3

→ 2x²y + a = -11

→ a = 2x²y + 11

\therefore Third side of the triangle = 2x²y + 11.
