The perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 3x cm, what is its area

ishandeveloper: As it is an equilateral triangle. Each Side would be x cm. So, area of triangle becomes √3/4 x (side)^2 = √3x^2/4

As the perimeter is 3x cm.
Therefore,
Length of one side= 3x÷3
i.e.
x = 3
As we know formula for area of an equilateral triangle=
 \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  \times  {side}^{2}
So, applying it we get:
 \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}   \times {x}^{2}

 =   \frac{ \sqrt{3} {x}^{2}  }{4}  \:  \: ans.
