Let the side of the square be A

Perimeter of equillateral triangle = 3A

3A = 60
A = 20 CM

AREA =
 \sqrt{3}  {(side)}^{2}  \div 4 \\   (\sqrt{3}  \times 20 \times 20) \div 4 \\  = 100 \sqrt{3}  \\  = 100 \times 1.732 = 173.2 {cm}^{2}
