so applying

perimeter=2x+y (1)

according to given condition

x/y=3/2

ie x=3y/2

substitute it in (1)

we get 32=2×3y/2+y

ie 32=3y+y

=4y

ie y=8

so substitute it in (1)

we get x=12

now use area of isoceles triangle=base×height upon 2

ie 8×12 upon 2

ie 96/2

=48 cm square

hence area of isoceles triangle is 48 sq.cm
