since its isoseles , the lenght of its 2 other legs are equal

perimeter = 41cm

hypotenuse = 17 cm

let the other 2 sides be x and x = 2x

17 + 2x = 41

x = (41 - 17)/2

x = the respective lenght of other 2 sides = 12

area = 1/2 * base *hieght

area = 1/2 * 12 * 12

area = 1/2 *144

area = 72 cm^2
